“Animal welfare is at the heart of our business, and to be awarded the very best in practice in British pig production is a tremendous accolade that we are proud to receive” says Colin Woodall.
“Customers increasingly care about where their products come from and the care with which they are produced. By carrying The Good Pig Award symbol on our products we will clearly communicate to our customers that we treat our animals with the respect that they deserve.”
Dr. Tracey Jones, Director of Food Business, Compassion in World Farming, said: “This year marks 10 years since we launched the Awards and it’s great to see that there is real momentum behind them as more and more businesses commit to change. We would like to congratulate Woodall’s Charcuterie for the huge difference they are making to the lives of thousands of pigs. We need more businesses to follow their excellent example and keep the momentum going across the industry”.
