The charity, established in 1992, provides specialist palliative care for patients with incurable illnesses throughout the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire region. Their care is provided by a multi-disciplinary team and includes in-patient care, day therapy units, family support, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Since their services are provided free of charge to patients and their families, Dove House Hospice rely heavily on support from the local community.
Representatives from the site recently visited the team at Dove House Hospice to witness first-hand how their fundraising efforts have helped support the Hospice. The team will continue to support the charity and are gearing up to raise even more money through the three impending ‘More Together’ challenges which will take place next month.
