Asda Butcher’s Selection Roast in the Bag Sage & Onion Pork Loin Joint, manufactured by Cranswick Country Foods, won the Best Pork/Pig meat product at the2015 Meat Management Awards.
The annual Meat Management Awards were held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on 30th June with special guest, entertainer and ventriloquist Paul Zerdin.
The roast in the bag sage & onion pork loin joint was developed by Cranswick in conjunction with Asda to create a versatile and convenient ‘direct to the oven’ traditional roast pork loin joint.
The product is aimed at the affordable weekend roast and mid-week treat market. It is sealed in an ovenable bag and steam cooks at a significantly reduced cooking time, with leftover recipes included on the packaging.
Cranswick is delighted with the award. New Product Development Manager at Cranswick Country Foods, Gary Scott, said:
“It is truly excellent to receive industry recognition for everybody’s hard work, and a big thank you to Tricia Sykes and the wider Asda team for their support and input in the development process.”
