Getting Clear on Plastic

WRAP has launched a new campaign aimed at individuals. 80% of people say they would recycle more if they had clearer guidance (edie.net 2020).

The myth-busting ‘Clear on Plastics’ campaign provides information on tackling plastics waste at home and out and about, through reduction, reuse and recycling. There are 50 kinds of plastics used to package goods in the UK with varying degrees of reusability and recyclability - the campaign will provide clarity and motivation to recycle.

At Cranswick, we are working to eliminate unnecessary single-use plastic. Where we can’t remove plastic (for good reason), we want to ensure that it’s not only made from recycled plastic but can be recycled again and again. For food packaging, that means it must be easily recovered through the household recycling stream in a way that doesn’t confuse the consumer.
