Four Awards Received at the Annual British Pie Awards

Cranswick Gourmet Pastry recently received four prestigious awards at the annual British Pie Awards ceremony.

Hosted in Melton Mowbray, the home of the humble pork pie, the awards saw over 800 products entered into the categories celebrating the very best pies of Britain's pies.

The awards were founded in 2009, and since that time have judged over 8,000 entries.

Cranswick were thrilled to learn their Best Ever Steak Pie, produced for Marks and Spencer, was awarded Gold and Highly Commended by the judges. This hand-crafted pie filled with tender beef skirt and smoked bacon lardons was boasted to be one of Marks and Spencer's fastest selling products - recorded to have sold out in certain stores nationwide on launch day.

Cranswick Gourmet Pastry's Creamy Chicken, Leek and Smoked Bacon pie, recently launched into Marks and Spencer stores, was awarded Highly Commended by the judges and won Silver in its category.

Two other delicious products produced by Cranswick Gourmet Pastry were also awarded podium places. A Lamb and Mint pie - a returning favourite into Marks and Spencer's stores - was awarded a Silver, and a Butternut Squash, Spinach and Pine Kernel pie recieved a Bronze award.
