Good luck to our fearless Cranswick colleagues who are taking part in the Asda Elan Valley Charity Challenge 2015 this weekend!
Tomorrow morning (16/05/15) eight Cranswick employees will join more than 30 teams in one of the toughest challenges in the UK based around the Elan Valley in Wales.
The aim is for a team to complete a challenging 7-mile walk across the renowned mountain range, followed by a 2-mile canoe race. The next phase will test competitor’s metal with an aerial tree climb before taking on a 26-mile bike ride.
The final leg of the bike ride takes the teams up to 1700 feet on top of the Dam where the teams of four will carry a log over 800 meters’ end to end. They will then cycle down to the finish for the final challenge - a 20-kilo coal carry.
So far in excess of £160k has been raised by all the teams and the money will go to Tickled Pink, a charity that raises money for the Breast Cancer Campaign and Breast Cancer Care.
