Cranswick takes on the Yorkshire Three Peaks in support of Hull4Heroes

Cranswick Preston, Riverside & King George dock sites have partnered with Hull4Heroes. Over the next year, we are hoping to raise funds through several events and activities supporting the charity.

Hull4Heroes’s next big project kickstarting this year is to build the world’s first transitional Veterans’ Village. The charity’s aim is to give back to those who nobly served their country, helping our heroes transition back to civilian life, and assisting ex-service personnel and their families build the future they deserve. Our target is to raise the funds to sponsor and build a home (£60k), leaving a Cranswick legacy in becoming an everlasting part of this unique village.

Everyone is getting involved, Directors, colleagues within our offices, and manufacturing departments. One of our main events for this year is the gruelling Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge due to take place on the 3rd July. Described as walking a marathon and climbing higher than Ben Nevis in under 12 hours, it is an extremely tough and challenging day, both physically and mentally – dropout can be as high as 25% of those who start.

Adam Couch (CEO), Mark Bottomley (CFO), Neil Willis (MD), Darren Andrew (Ops Director) and Ed Wright (Export Director) will be leading the Cranswick mountaineers and looking for sponsorship to encourage, not only to start but to also complete the event!
