We’re thrilled to announce we’re shortlisted in the “Sustainability Initiative of the Year” Grocer Gold Awards category. To be shortlisted amongst leading businesses in food is a privilege and a testament to the hard work taking place in each of our businesses by our amazing colleagues.
Our vision is to become the world’s most sustainable meat business. This means responsibly managing our operations from farm-to-fork and acting transparently to produce food to the highest standards of integrity and quality.
As part of our commitment to quality, we understand that we need to work more sustainably, in a fair, ethical and efficient way. Second Nature is simply how we do business to build a sustainable and healthy food system that’s fit for purpose for generations to come.
Our production sites are galvanised to take action under the Second Nature’s bold net zero commitment, which is focused on delivering our goal of net zero carbon by 2040. Under this, we are making great progress and are working towards achieving:
Zero edible food waste by 2030
Zero unnecessary plastics by 2025
100% renewable energy by 2030
Carbon neutral owned farms by 2030
Science-based targets against Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
