Cranswick Recognised as Industry Leaders for Projects in Food Waste and Distribution

Cranswick have been recognised as industry leaders for their projects on food waste and food redistribution at the Waste2zero Award ceremony which took place at St James's Square in London last week.

Food waste remains one of the biggest challenges facing the food and hospitality industry, therefore to be recognised as a major food production business to win this award is a monumental achievement.

Cranswick were announced as winners of the 'Best Waste Prevention Project Award' highlighting examples of their food waste mapping exercises at each of their sites, as well as tackling household food waste by the promotion and sponsorship of the food sharing app OLIO in their native city of Hull.

As runners up in the “Food Redistribution Award” they received specific recognition for their community initiatives such as Olio and support of food banks and food poverty related charities in and around Hull.

This is a fantastic achievement for the group and deserved recognition to everyone in the business.
