Cranswick, Headline Sponsors of Porkstock 2017, challenged students from Wayland Academy in Norfolk to design their own winning sausage flavours.
The students were given a flavour for the food industry through a factory tour, taste panels and sausage making demonstrations.
Working closely with Cranswick chefs, the students were asked to come up with their own sausage designs. The winning flavour will be created and the student behind the creation will be awarded their prize on the food demonstration stage at Porkstock.

The food, drink and music festival, run entirely by volunteers, will take place on Saturday 14th October with all evening ticket profits going to local childrens’ charity, Nelson’s Journey.
Cranswick are proud to be part of Porkstock’s celebration of Norfolk’s great produce. With this event originating from the love of all things pork, we felt compelled to join the fun and share our passion for quality pork products whilst helping to raise money for a worthy cause.
The students we worked with loved understanding the hard work and dedication which goes into the process of the humble sausage and said they had a whole new appreciation for food on the supermarket shelves.
The teachers were just as appreciative and we are already planning the next visit for more students to come and visit us.
