Cranswick were delighted to attend the Food and Farming Careers Event this week at Driffield Showground.
The two-day event consisted of the Schools Food and Farming Day, whereby lots of local school children visited the event to learn all things agriculture and food production. This included a talk on Polly and her piglets, as members of our agriculture team provided an insightful presentation on outdoor pig farming, as well as a talk and interactive session on the variety of pork products.
This was followed by the Countryside Careers Event on Thursday evening, allowing young people from the local area to gain further insight into potential future careers in the rural sector. The teams were proud to discuss our fantastic range of apprenticeships, placements, graduate schemes and other work experience opportunities.
The event was well received by all attendees, and as a business, we are really proud to support such excellent initiatives in the local community.
