This week, Cranswick are celebrating National Apprenticeship Week, championing our fantastic apprentices across the business, and recognising their remarkable success. From NPD, to IT, apprentice fieldsmen and brilliant butchers, Cranswick can offer something for everyone. The theme of this year’s National Apprenticeship Week is ‘Skills for Life’, something that Cranswick believe our apprenticeship opportunities truly can provide.
Recently, Cranswick hosted six of our incredible apprentices, as they presented their own Cranswick journey to Adam (Chief Executive Officer), Chris (Chief Operating Officer), and Miranda (Group HR Director). It was a delight to hear their stories and learn about the work that they have been doing across different areas of the business. For example, Isabella, NPD Degree Apprentice, has been working on a project whereby she is looking into different alternatives to additives. Isabella is currently undertaking a Food Technical degree at Sheffield Hallam University.
We also heard from Luca, an Apprentice Butcher, who shows great enthusiasm for the skill of butchery and feels passionately about sharing his knowledge in the future to encourage younger generations into the industry. Inspirational stories were told by Jodie, Engineering Apprentice, who told us that despite finding her school days difficult, she is really enjoying her apprenticeship so far and is a strong representative for female engineers. Jodie is currently studying at HETA alongside her work for Cranswick.
More fantastic presentations were delivered by all, including Carmen, HR Degree Apprentice, Jack, Apprentice Fieldsman from Wold Farms, and Lewis, IT Degree Apprentice.
