"I left school at the age of 16 and like a lot of other people my age, I had no real idea of what I wanted to do and a lack of direction. I heard about Cranswick’s Butchery Apprenticeship programme and I knew this was something that would throw me out of my comfort zone, but I really wanted to give it a go.

Since starting the programme I have learned so much, I have a really supportive team behind me, who are great role models and help me everyday. I have created a work ethic and I have a new and positive outlook on my career. I am enthusiastic and have demonstrated that hard work brings rewards and opportunities.

I am now working towards being the first of my intake not only to pass my end point assessment, but to pass with excellence. I wouldn’t be where I am today, with the careers prospects in front of me, without Cranswick and I am truly grateful for this."
